Odopoiia

 ‘Odopoiia’ (road building) is a compound ancient Greek word that consists of the noun ‘odos’ (path) and the verb ‘poio’ (make). In ancient times it simply referred to ‘making roads.’ Thus, the word’s meaning survives intact to this day, since ‘odopoiia’ refers to the entirety of technical labor that have to do with the construction (mapping out, opening up, asphalting) and the preservation of roads.
